Silver X Reader: A Second Chance - Part 5

Your POV:

I open my eyes. I'm in my bedroom, lying on my bed. Well that's weird. I don't remember being a sleepwalker. How did I get here? I look around, all my pokemon are sleeping peacefully, Tyger and Aqua cuddling each other on my bed.

I sit up, and get out of my bed slowly, so I won't wake them up.

I try to think hard. The wish! I remember having a dream after I felt sleepy.

I saw Celebi, and a star looking pokemon, Jirachi, I think. I can't remember exactly what they were saying. But I know it was about the wish I made.

Silver! I have got to see if he's alright!

I dash towards my closet and pick up the first top and trouser I find. I take off my white nightdress and quickly dress myself in the bathroom. I put on a (favourite colour) T-shirt with blue jeans. I brush my hair and my teeth quickly before I run downstairs.

“Finally awake, sleepy head~” I hear Blue giggling in the kitchen.

“Hey, hey, hey! What's the big rush?!” Green shouts.

“I need to go! It's urgent!” I shout back.

“What can be more important than breakfast?!”

“Oh, you know~” I hear Blue giggling again.

I run towards the main door, open it and close it right behind me. I remember Celebi telling me that Silver still lives at his mansion, so I start running to it.

I pant, a lot. I can't remember when was the last time I ran so much.

I walk to the door, and as I was about to ring the door bell, a man opens it and comes out. I can recognise him anywhere. He has short brown hair with sharp silver eyes. It's Giovanni, Silver's father. My eyes open wide and I stare at him. I don't know if I made him uncomfortable because he breaks the silence after a while.

“Good morning (y/n).” He smiles at me. His voice, it's so deep but gentle and soothing at the same tine. I smile back and I look in his eyes. He looks so innocent.

“Good morning,” I reply.

It feels weird though. I mean, this is -no- was the man who tried to kill me but he killed his son instead. And now, he doesn't even know what actually happened.

“Did you just run all the way from home?” he asks as he raises an eyebrow.

I nod slowly, feeling embarrassed.

I mentally face palm myself. I could have used Tyger or Scar, but no, I was again so busy thinking about Silver, that I had to make a fool of myself, again.

I then notice he's wearing a sort of uniform. He's also wearing a badge, and I recognise anywhere.

“You work for the International Police?” I ask. I mentally face palm myself, again, thinking that maybe I'm already supposed to know.

Giovanni nods. “Yup. I'm Looker's partner now. I just started working two days ago. I was going to tell you today. Sorry if I didn't tell you sooner.” He scratches the back of his head.

“It's okay.” I look at the time. I don't want him to be late because of me so I tell him. “Sorry, I don't want you to be late because of me.”

“Ah, it's okay. He'll understand if I say that I'm late because the Champion stopped by to say hi.”

I completely had forgotten for a moment that I am the Champion of Johto and Kanto region.

“That reminds me. We have to have a tag team battle again. And this time, it will be me and you against Silver and Scarlet. Admit it, we make a better team than you and Silver, am I right?” He winks and nudges me with his elbow.

I never battled with him -well, in my point of view- it was always against him. But, to be honest, Giovanni and I might make a pretty good team. Well, he does have powerful pokemon, so I won't be surprised.

I enter the mansion. Nothing really changed. The furnitures are still the same, but what catches my eye are that there are many pictures hanging on the walls.

I look at one in particular. It's a photo of me and Silver. Gold took the picture. I'm making a piece sign with one hand while I grab Silver's arm with the other. I'm smiling like an idiot and winking while Silver just has an emotionless expression, like in all the pictures. But I still think he's cute, although I'm sure he can be more handsome if he smiles more often.

I continue staring at the picture for a while.

“It's a nice picture. It's actually my favourite.” I jump as I hear a voice from behind me.

I turn my head slowly, only to see the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life. She has light blue eyes and very long red hair. It Silver's mother. I actually already had met her, when Celebi took me and Gold back in time. That's how I learned about Silver's past.

She smiles at me, and I can't stop but stare at her eyes.

“Well good morning (y/n),” she says as she gives me a warm hug.

I hug her back and reply with a smile. “Good morning.”

“Did you take breakfast?” she asks.

I shake my head. I feel like an idiot.

“Well, if you're looking for Silver -which of course, you are- he's changing in his room.” She gives me a wink. “You can go upstairs and knock if you want, or you can wait for him with me.”

“Thank you. But I have to see him as soon as possible. It's really urgent.”

“I understand. You now where his room is.”

Is it me or did I just hear her giggle.

I walk up the stairs, and the closer I get to his room, the faster my heart beats.
